AMA UMOETTE ULOKO
Contestant No 15 My music journey started at age 7 when my mum heard me sing and she stated “Ama you have a lovely voice”. Since she had been in the choir all through her youthful days, she motivated me to join the children’s choir in the Lutheran Church of Nigeria Lagos. I continued singing gracefully as I joined the Salvation Army Music team in Secondary School. Then I started singing professionally as a minister before I gained admission to the University.. I have been privileged to grace platforms like the Dunamis church Abuja by Pst Paul & Becky Enenche during their youth general convention, and in crusades hosted by Rev Yinka yYusuf of Household of love church, Dominion chapel by Bishop John Praise, Redeem Church Choir, and a long list of other churches in different parts of Nigeria, including Shalom Evangelical Ministries where I presently worship and serve as a soloist. I have been able to release different songs in the gospel music industry like You are great, there is a GOD, the lord is my shepherd and “You too BamBam” which has gained air plays on radio stations in Abuja. In accordance to my gospel releases I did political songs for Senator Godswill Akpabio and Akanimo Udofia for their Political Campaign. My strength as a vocalist is combined with my Evangelical Outreach Ministry, Deliverance and Prophetic grace, life coach for children, teens and youths, acting, writing, song writing, politics, voiceover artist, back-to-school initiatives for underprivileged kids, humanitarian aid, human rights advocacy, peace keeping, and motivational speaking as a linguist. And presently I am grateful for the opportunity to be a contestant in the Gospel Icons Africa Music Reality TV Show. I look forward to greater opportunities to serve in GOD’S vineyard moving forward. Thank you Why Should you be Voted for? I should be voted for because I am goal oriented and impact driven in my ministry as a gospel artiste. Contestant No 16 My musical journey is a testament to the profound impact of passion, faith, and unwavering determination. Born into a family deeply rooted in the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and raised by parents who had great passion for music with a mom who went as far as winning an award while she was pregnant for me, my destiny seemed almost preordained. From my earliest memories, the melodious sounds of hymns and spiritual songs filled my home, and this nurtured my love for music. As a child, my first steps into the world of music were taken in the church’s choir. I thank God for my family and the church, who recognised, supported, and encouraged me to develop my gift. I began vocal lessons and started learning to play musical instruments, including the piano and guitar, while singing in the choir. My devotion to gospel music went beyond just singing. As I recall spending countless hours listening and studying the great gospel musicians and delving into the depths of spiritual songs. In 2020, while I was studying for my masters degree in Ghana, I had an encounter with the Holy-Spirit and this spurned my songwriting abilities allowing me to express my faith and devotion through my own compositions. It was clear that music was more than a passion for me; it was a calling. One of the turning points in my music journey came when I met a renowned gospel producer, Chris Heaven. Impressed by my raw talent and devotion to my craft, he offered to work with me on my first studio recording. This collaboration led to the release of her debut single, “Chukwuamaka (God is Good),” in 2021. “Chukwuamaka” quickly gained attention for its moving lyrics and the soul-stirring vocals. The song became an anthem of faith, gratitude, and celebration of God’s goodness while in Ghana. Its impact reverberated through churches, campuses and across Africa, earning me recognition as a rising star in the gospel genre. As I was handed down an award by Serubia foundation. Just like any other, my journey was not without its challenges. I faced setbacks, self-doubt, and the pressures of finance. However, my unwavering faith and the support of her family and friends provided the strength I needed to persevere. With each obstacle I encountered, I emerged stronger and more determined to fulfill my musical mission which is preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through songs. In addition to my successful debut single, I have released a series of heartfelt gospel songs, including “Na Me,” “He Never Fails,” “Done It Again,” and “Omasiri.” Each song reflected my deep spirituality and commitment to uplifting souls for the Kingdom of God. My songs have touched the hearts of people worldwide. My performances in churches, gospel concerts, and on various platforms earned me a devoted fan base. My melodious voice, combined with the depth of my faith, has created a profound and lasting impact on those who heard me sing. Why Should you be Voted for? Because of my exceptional talent, genuine spirituality, and inspiring messages conveyed via my music, I am able to touch listeners’ hearts and souls and share messages of hope and faith that have a profound impact on audiences. Contestant No 05 When I was 7 years old, I was separated from my biological family after my dad lost his job and was diagnosed with a COPD. Owing to his deteriorating health condition, my parents could not afford to take care of me and my siblings. However, a distant relation offered to take responsibility for my wellbeing. Unfortunately, contrary to the enticing promises of comfort, stability, education and luxury, I was subjected to child labor and molestation. I could not reach my parents or any relative because my aunt prevented any form of communication with them and banned me from keeping any friend. At this time, music was my only companion. This childhood experience inspired me to pursue music from a very tender age because I am able to express myself through music and also impact other lives through it. Why Should you be Voted for? Wining this competition will empower me to continue to maximize this God-given talent and to use it as a tool to influence lives across the world and every vote is a step closer to this dream. If you empower me, you have empowered an entire generation! CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR ME CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR ME

Contestant No 18 As a child, i had a dream once about a little girl at the extreme end of a hut-like church in the middle of a desert worshiping God. I had always known that my purpose is worship. It is my calling and my whole duty. My journey in music started at the teenage church choir. From teenage church choir to youth choir and then to adult choir. I often look forward to leading worship and I understood it to be an expression of my heart to God. I particularly love songs that tell about who God is, his awesomeness, greatness and sovereignty. People would tell about how there is something different about my voice which i didn’t fully understand at first until God revealed who i am and my core assignment to me. I continued singing in school at Redeem Christian church fellowship. After school, I started assisting as a backup singer at a studio in Ibadan and that further strengthened my conviction and my passion for music and worship. Then, the time for the wilderness experience came. God took me through situations to teach me that it wasn’t about the voice alone. It is much more about the vessel and the heart from where the worship came…it was truly a time of thorough dealing. I am convinced within me that is it time to emerge and be all that God has ordained me to be. Nations are waiting and they would not be left out of Gods blessing because of my disobedience hence the decision to obey God as he leads every step of the way. Why Should you be Voted for? For me, your vote is an instrumental part of making sure i receive the help and support needed for the journey ahead. Doing my part as God has instructed is not enough and i wont be able to do it alone without support from my “Hurs and Aarons”. It is so that all God has spoken will come to pass and the gifting that God has placed in this being would be useful for kingdom advancement. CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR ME CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR ME
